In many ancient cultures they saw value in what they would call third-genders which was really just an umbrella term for all the orientations we have to day. Many of these two spirited or third-gendered people were thought to have spiritual gifts higher then the regular person and were appointed as Oracels, priest's, shaman's, mediums and witch doctors Or entertainment and the arts having Musical or artistic skills that made them closer to the gods. In many sacred text a phrase is repeated "Nature is diverse What would seem unnatural is also natural" which is always applied to homosexuality, bisexuality even Transexuality in nature. Ancient peoples and modern humanity can observe these things in nature and draw a conclusion that the idea of same sex relationships seeming unnatural are actually in truth very normal but years of Abrahamic and societal Oppression has destroyed our spiritual history and distorted the truth of nature. I think ones sexuality and gender orientation is part of reincarnation, everyone has male and female aspects in themselves but we cannot quite control which or what ones present themselves in our personality and sexuality. Everyone was probably many genders before but sometimes who you are, Your spirit specifically outside of bodies and social constructs and what it loves leaks through every lifetime.
It's also possible sexuality and gender can be an effect of our past lives but it's nothing to be veiwed in negative light. It is a journey/experience that can lead you closer to enlightenment.
